Events & Adventures Phoenix

I have been able to meet a lot of great people and try a lot things that I have wanted to do for sometime. They go to shows, do Go Karts, arts and crafts, Glass Blowing, try different styles of food, etc. They really do work hard to ensure there is something for everyone. They even take suggestions which is nice. New Years they had a DJ and raffle for great prizes. If you just want to get out of your bubble and se more of your town, it is a good group to be apart of.

Absolutely beware and make sure this is what you want. You have to sign a contract up front for a year or two years. I joined for two thinking this would be good for me to get out and make friends. I was told there were like 700+ Phoenix people on this group. If you’re a big drinker or like negativity/gossip, this is the group for you! It is not my cup of tea. I continued to go thinking I’ll meet different or better people. No. This group is clique-y with the same few dozen people at every event. 700 people was a lie. Felt like back in high school when I just didn’t feel like I fit in with any crowd because you had to be in with them to feel like you belonged. The events are not great and cost more money which isn’t bad if the events were actually good. Many times people just complain about this or that, or talk about how wasted they got part event, and there’s no real bonding or help from the hosts to get conversations started. Most events have been very awkward. I tried to get out of the contract within 60 days due to social anxiety and personal issues due to this group ,and they still want me to pay the $3000 owed for the rest of the contract. I’m absolutely disappointed they only give a 3 day time frame to cancel which is not even barely enough time to try out an event or two to make sure that it’s something you even like, because if I would have just gone to one event I wouldn’t have signed up. I was fresh out of a break up and latched onto something that I thought would help me get out and not stay at home sulking. Try before you buy if you can. I have other personal mental health reasons for not wanting to be in this group that are valid, and they absolutely refuse to work with it unless I get a doctors note. I feel lied to, cheated and taken advantage of. Beware. They make a lot of money off of their members so I’m sure they’ll pay to hide this review but I hope some see it and save themselves like I wish I could have.

Last night was nothing but amazing couldn't have asked more for nye thank you too Meggie Phoenix EA for making it happen and too all the hosts for helping it go on!! And too all the friends I have made over these pass few months you will always be the good friends that I have come to meet. Happy New Year everyone!! I find myself at the start of the new year feeling a profound sense of gratitude. I have been a member of E and A for 1 year, and I am so grateful for the friendships and connections I have made here. They help me to be a better version of myself. But that is not the focus of what I want to say today. I have had the amazing opportunity to participate with E and A as a host. This has given me a behind the scenes look at how things get done in the club. And the biggest thing I didnt realize was how much effort and hard work our Event Manager Meggie Phoenix EA dedicates to us each and every month. She doesnt seek any attention for this because she feels that its just part of her job. But I'm here to share with you all that she goes above and beyond to put together fun and interesting events, get the best discounts possible, and take care of our individual needs in a professional and compassionate manner. The New Year's Eve party was a huge success, and Meggie is the only reason it went so well. She worked tirelessly on the final details the entire days Friday, Saturday, and before the event on Sunday in preparation. She ran last minute errands to provide subtle amenities and decor to enhance our experience that we probably didn't even notice. During the party she handled behind-the-scenes issues with the venue to keep things running smoothly. And she genuinely tried to connect with each of us, not out of a sense of obligation, but because she truly cares for us and wants us to have the best experience possible. Meggie, thank you for all your effort. You are an example of hard work, professionalism, and grace. This club is only as good as it is because of you. Thank you for all you do. And I wish you an amazing Happy New Year.

I joined the group to have a reason to get out of the house and have adult time and adult conversations. I didn't expect to get much else out of the group. There have been a variety of events each month, some of which I never would have found on my own, and found I enjoy some doing some things that I previously thought I wouldn't but tried anyway because I knew I wasn't going to be alone doing something for the first time. I've also found friends that I will have for the rest of my life. I've been a member for 2 years now, and have enjoyed the experiences I've had with the other members of the group

Events & Adventures is a complete disappointment. New to Scottsdale, I was eager to meet people and become involved in activities and sports. The salesperson thought I would be perfect fit for the 20 year old group and shared the advantage of buying a two year commitment with the organization. So I signed up assuming I would be with 20 year olds, and when I went to the activities the group was mostly 30-40 year olds. I was anxious to meet people, but not “trying to buy my friends” as Matthew the Resolutions officer at corporate said. A super insulting, and unprofessional comment. Bottom line, I have 10 months left in the contract, and I asked to cancel my membership assuming a financial reimbursement for a misleading sales pitch. However, that is not the case and now I am out money and the remaining 10 months of activities. I would have stayed the course, had I been reminded about no financial reimbursement. Buyer beware!!!

After working for the last 8 years remotely not having any local friends, I joined E & A to get out of the house and to develop friendships with like minded people. If I met a man that would be my future husband that would be a bonus! There are a variety of activities and a wide range of cost to choose from. I love the hiking and the food events. I have got the chance to explore the wonderful restaurants of my area and discover new areas to hike! I also have seen some great entertainment. The cost is a bit expensive, but it has gotten me out of the house and making new friends and I have found the love of my life, so I have to say it was worth the cost.
